Opening / Closing of rates accounts

Please complete the form below in order to open a rates account.

  • Upload your council registration documents, copy of Certified ID’s and Company / Trust documents if applicable.
  • Your New Account or Account Closure reference number will be sent you for your records. Allow for 45 working days after date of registration.
  • Allow for up to 90 working days to receive your new rates account / confirmation of rates account closure and refund if applicable. For refunds please note the funds are paid directly to your Attorney’s trust account and in turn paid to you.
  • Sellers please note that you should not pay for any accounts after the property has registered. Buyers please not that you should expect two to three months of charges to reflect on your first statement.
  • Fees indicated are per application.

Request a municipal prepaid meter

Upload your recent rates account, copies of ID/s and/or company documents where applicable and make payment.

  • Application documents will be sent to you via email. Please return to us completed.
  • After submission of the application, The City will calculate their costs for the meter and installation. This cost will be determined by the amount of phases and meters applied for. These fees are separate to our fees and the invoice will be emailed to you for payment, Once paid, provide us with the proof of payment.
  • Once payment and proof thereof is effected, an appointment will be made for the installation of your prepaid meter.

The Easy Way and City Council fees are separate. City Council fees are for the actual meter and installation and are to be paid directly to The City.

Easy Town Planning
